Girard Perregaux RD 01 BMW Oracle.

Seen some 20 years ago in Sicily. Not the kind of watch I find gracious, but it has a lot of character and looks very pleasant. The kind of watch I miss when I see the current GP catalogue. Best, Nicolas

Yes!

But mine had the white dial. The co-axial pusher was a bit gluey, but it never failed on me. Had a rose ref. 90170 in my hands in a shop in those days, too (late 90s/early 00s?), but I just didn't have the funds for it, sadly. Haven't held one since. It,

Sea Hawk 7100 - Super Luminova or Tritium?

Hi CC, thanks for your great post and all the information. I am currently thinking of buying a nice GP 7100 and I have some questions. If you look at the image attached, do you think that the bezel is Alu or Saphir? The seller mentioned that the Lume is S

Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk Chrono.

A nice photo, from Girard Perregaux. Still, I prefer the time only... Best, Nicolas

With GP it’s always “another era”.

Other than the Laureato-which they are beating to death-and the very highest end-which are incredibly expensive-they have completely lost their way. In the late 90s and early 2000s there may not have been a better brand in delivering attractive and afford

A Venus 179 Girard-Perregaux reference

Here's one more (and probably last) thread concerning the Venus 179 split-second chronograph movement . The Girard-Perregaux ref. 90170 is a 40 mm watch powered by the calibre Venus 179 . The examples below are in pink and white gold . Thanks to schen for

I agree with you 100%

That is a very very nice Vintage GP you have there, I would love to have one in my personal Collection as well along with a 1st Gen. Deep Diver with the "Lume Filled Triangle" Dial (Ref. 7254) and/or maybe a Ref.9034 with the "Flag Dial" or "Casino Dial"

Thank you! 🙏🏻I bought it in 1993 and it has been done years before this - They started with the 7100 probably in 1989! The first ones had Lemanias 8810 movements. Mine has already a revamped ETA 2892, rebranded to a GP Calibre 2200…

I even found a post on this in this very forum where I even posted my comments as well… ;-) www.watchprosite.com

When I bought my Ref 7100 Seahawk at that time, I looked also to this reference, but from my point of view it was unconvincingly tiny… 😅

So I decided otherwise… (not sure why emojis don‘t work anymore) Ps: My wristsize is only 16cm…
